MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Due to heavy overnight rain in Birmingham, Alabama State's game against UAB scheduled for Tuesday afternoon has been postponed.

The game will be rescheduled for Wednesday, March 18 at 4 pm in Birmingham.

Alabama State is coming off a three-game sweep of the Andre Dawson Classic in which they defeated three Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) schools in the process. The Hornets scored 23 runs in the three games combined, including a seven-inning run-rule victory over Prairie View A&M.

The Hornets return to action Wednesday in Tuscaloosa (Ala.) against Alabama, with first pitch scheduled for 2 pm. The game will be carried by the SECNetwork+.
