Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returned home after opening conference play, falling to East Tennessee State 5-0 Sunday afternoon at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.

Alabama State dropped the doubles' point, with the number two doubles match finishing at 7-5, while the number three team of Alexis Collard and Alejo Calvis did not finish before the point was decided (6-6). In singles play, the Hornets dropped four matches in straight sets, however, Collard was able to win a set at number two singles and led in set three before the match was halted (3-6, 6-2, 2-1).

The Hornets return to action Thursday on the road at Jacksonville State.
