BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State dropped their first road match of the season, falling to Samford 7-0 at the Samford Tennis Center Saturday.
Alabama State (0-1) dropped the doubles' point after falling at number one doubles 6-1 when the team of
Juan Rodriguez and
Chris Andre fell. The Hornets were tied at 3-all in the number two match but dropped the point due to a forfeit due to a shortened roster due to illness.
The Hornets dropped the match at number six to go down 2-0 before singles play started and from there Samford was able to take control of the match with wins at numbers one through five.
