BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) released the men's basketball all-conference Thursday morning, with
Tobi Ewuosho earning honors on a vote from the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
Ewuosho was named Second Team All-Conference after a season in which his production grew by nearly six points per game. The senior averaged just 7.7 points per game during his junior season but averaged 12.7 per game to lead the Hornets this season. He also averaged a team-high 6.0 rebounds and dished out 44 assists.
The senior finished his career 818 career points and 455 career rebounds for the Hornets, while also shooting 44.6 percent from the floor in three years. Ewuosho scored in double figures 21 times this season and 40 for his career, while also scoring 15 or more 11 different times.
He was joined on the second team by Tristan Jarrett (Jackson State), Troymain Crosby (Alcorn State), DeVante Jackson (Grambling State) and Rasas Yahuza (Texas Southern). The first team included Player of the Year Devonte Patterson (Prairie View A&M), Gerard Andrus (Prairie View A&M), Tyrik Armstrong (Texas Southern), Roland Griffin (Jackson State) and Ivy Smith, Jr. (Grambling State).
