BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) released the bracket for 2020 Cricket Wireless SWAC Basketball Tournament Sunday morning.

Both programs from Alabama State qualified for the tournament, with the Lady Hornets earning the eighth seed and they will travel to top-seeded Jackson State Wednesday night with tip set for 6 pm. Other games on the opening night of the tournament include second seed Texas Southern hosting seventh-seeded UAPB, and third seed Southern hosting sixth-seeded Prairie View A&M.

The winner of the Alabama State-Jackson State contest will face the winner of fourth-seeded Alabama A&M and fifth-seeded Alcorn State in the semifinals in Birmingham (Ala.).

Meanwhile, on the men's side Alabama State enters the tournament as the seventh seed and will face second seed Southern in Baton Rouge (La.) with tip set for 7:30 pm. The winner of that contest will face either third-seeded Texas Southern or sixth seed Grambling State in the semifinals on March 13 in Birmingham. Meanwhile, top-seeded Prairie View A&M hosts eighth seed Alabama A&M, and fourth-seeded Jackson State hosts fifth-seeded Alcorn State in the opening round.

The first round of the tournament will take place at campus sites, with the semifinals and finals set for March 13 and 14 in Birmingham.
