BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State landed a pair of student-athletes on the postseason all-conference teams released by the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) office on Monday morning.

Robert Alston (Linden, Ala.) earned second team honors after he started every game for the Hornets since the spring season, including all 11 this fall. The redshirt freshman helped lead an offense that averaged 303.1 yards per game this season, while blocking for three freshmen quarterbacks. The Hornets averaged just over 112 yards per game rushing and 190 yards passing, while they allowed 23 total sacks.

Meanwhile, Irshaad Davis (Carol City, Fla.) earned second team honors as a defensive back after leading the team in tackles. The redshirt sophomore finished with 65 tackles, including 40 solo stops. He also finished with six tackles for loss (27 total yards) and two sacks (14 yards) on the season, while recording three quarterback hurries. Davis recorded three interceptions and recorded three pass breakups, while also forcing one fumble and recovering another.
