QUOTES from head coach Mo Williams
"First of all, Dayton is a really good team, they've got things rolling right now. But I didn't think we came out to compete, we're on the road and you have to bring the fight to even have a chance against a good team. I thought initially we didn't have the fight in us for whatever reason. It's just something we have to figure out."
"Next man up, there is no excuse. That's why you have a team, you have five guys so when guys get hurt or whatever it is. We have a good group; I just feel like we didn't have the fight. That mentality has to change for us to turn the corner."
"Wherever we go, there is going to be a crowd with 10,000-plus in each building. It's good energy. It felt good. As a player, I used to love playing on the road more than at home because of the energy and everybody against you. It was exciting today and I am looking forward to moving on. It is only going to make us better as a team, being in those environments on the road and help us in SWAC play."
"It's a big game. We dropped one against North Alabama, they came in and just played better than we did. They deserved to win that game. We just have to make sure we prepare and have some good practices leading up to Samford."
