Pine Bluff, Ark. |Â Alabama State will play their first road contest of the season as they face Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Simmons Bank Field Saturday afternoon.
Due to weather implications, kickoff time has been moved up to 4:05 p.m.
Alabama State (2-1, 2-11 SWAC) is coming off a 35-28 win over Jackson State on March 20 at ASU Stadium.
Ezra Gray accounted for nearly 300 all-purpose yards including a career-high 193 rushing and three touchdowns, while
Ryan Nettles finished the day 27-for-42 for 257 yards with a pair of touchdowns against Jackson State.
Meanwhile, Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-0, 2-0 SWAC) comes into the game with two consecutive road wins against Southern and Grambling. Quarterback Skyler Perry has completed 40-for-67 for 569 yards and six touchdowns in two games so far.
The two teams last met back on October 1, 2016 in Montgomery, with Alabama State coming out on top 41-21.
The game will be shown on ESPN3 and carried by the Hornets Sports Network.
