MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Cricket Wireless teamed up with Alabama State to award T.S. Morris Elementary School $2,500 in school supplies this week as part of the Hornets Read initiative.

Through the initiative, classroom supplies, accessories, and school-related items were part of the donation presented to school principal Denitta Easterling and to Jeremy Moore who spearheaded the program. The donation will significantly enhance the learning environment at the school to create a better, safer institution of learning.

Cricket Wireless is one of the primary sponsors of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), and the partnership between the two focuses on establishing meaningful community initiatives within the footprint of the conference. Specifically, these initiatives will look to activate and amplify grassroots efforts, such as youth outreach and mentoring program that are available to student-athletes and administrators from across the conference.
