GAME NOTES
- Alabama State and UAB have met twice in school history, with the Blazers winning both including 8-1 in the spring.
- The Lady Hornets (1-5) have dropped four one-goal matches this season, as well as a one-goal loss in the exhibition match against Troy.
- Kristen Thomas (Watkinsville, Ga.) was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Defender of the Week after her performance against South Carolina State and Gardner-Webb. The honor was the second of the year for Alabama State with Sheila Sanchez (Castellon, Spain) winning the Goalkeeper of the Month earlier this season.
- Isabella Beortegui (Santa Ana, Calif.) and Camila Jimenez (Weston, Fla.) lead Alabama State with two goals each this season, while Zariya Holt (Douglasville, Penn.) and McKenna Wiscombe (Orem, Utah) have each scored one each.
- The Lady Hornets stay on the road on Sunday against crosstown foe Faulkner with kick at 2 pm.
