LEXINGTON, Ky. |Â Alabama State concluded the Rod McCravy Track and Field Invitational hosted by the University of Kentucky over the weekend at the Nutter Fieldhouse.

On the women's side, sophomore
Rebecca Bernardin (Turk and Caicos Island) finished in the top 25 in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:21.44, while freshman
Shamia Jones (Albany, Ga.) earned a top 30 of the 400-meter event, finishing in 58.54 seconds.

In the relays, the Hornets took ninth place, finishing at 3:52.15. They also took ninth in the men's relay with a time of 3:18.95.

In the heptathlon,
Cedric Jones (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) and
Nicholas Moseley (Pittsbury, Calif.) finished sixth and seventh respectively, while
Kevin Smith (Saint Catherine Jamaica) earned a top 15 finish in the 800-meter run at 11th with a time of 1:54.24 and
Antonio Doster Jr. (Byron, Ga.) finished in the top 30 in the 400-meter at 51.49 seconds.

UP NEXT
Alabama State will return to Birmingham next weekend for the Jaguar Invitational on Sunday, February 6 at the Birmingham Crossplex and is hosted by South Alabama.
