MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Running back Santo Dunn and defensive lineman Brandon Gaddy received invitations to play in the HBCU Pigskin Showdown on Saturday, December 17, 2022 in Selma, Alabama.
 
The second annual NBC Sports HBCU Pigskin Showdown that will be broadcast on NBC Sports and streamed on Peacock at noon (CT). 
 
Dunn was the Hornets' second-leading rusher, rushing for 478 yards on 74 attempts with one touchdown. The Miami, Fla., native caught 10 passes for 110 yards and returned four punts for 108 yards, including a 70-yard return for a touchdown against Bethune-Cookman.
 
Gaddy finished as the Hornets' third-leading tackler, posting 52 tackles, including 9.0 tackles for loss and two sacks. The Virginia Beach, Va., product recorded three of Alabama State's five blocked kicks this season.
 
Alabama State finished the season 6-5 under and 4-4 under first-year Head Coach Eddie Robinson, Jr. The six wins were the most wins since 2015 for Alabama State football.
