MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State hits the road in search of their first victory of the season, traveling to face No. 24 Auburn on Sunday afternoon.
Alabama State (0-2) enters the match after dropping a 5-2 decision to Division II power and top-ranked Columbus State on Wednesday. In that match, the Hornets had their chances beginning in doubles before a pair of three-set matches in singles play.
The Hornets picked up singles win from
Matis Amier (Epernay, France) and
Samrakshyak Bajracharya (Katmandu, Nepal). They will face several ranked players for the Tigers on Sunday including Jan Galka (No. 84), Tad Maclean (No. 85), and Tyler Stice (95). They will also see the No. 44 doubles team of Galka and Stice.
