ORLANDO, Fla. | Alabama State will look to end a four-game losing streak in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play on the road Monday night in front of a nationally televised audience when they face Bethune-Cookman.

The game is scheduled for 9 pm (ET) on ESPNU in Daytona Beach (Fla.).

Alabama State won the first meeting between the two schools in Mobile (Ala.) at the Bridge Builders Classic with a 79-73 victory after trailing by double digits in the second half. Trace Young (Owensboro, Ky.) led Alabama State with 21 points and eight rebounds in that contest, while Kenny Strawbridge (Rockford, Ill.) finished with 11 and E.J. Clark (Dallas, Texas) 10 points and four assists.

The two teams have met 17 times in school history, with the Hornets holding a 10-7 advantage including winning both games in Daytona Beach.

• Alabama State enters play Monday night one game back of the eighth and final spot in the conference tournament, a spot held by Jackson State (whom the Hornets hold the tiebreaker). They are also two games back of Alabama A&M and Prairie View A&M for the sixth spot with four games remaining in the regular season, with a game still left against Alabama A&M.
• The Hornets have dropped five conference games by five points or less, including three on the final possession, after their overtime loss to Florida A&M on Saturday.
