MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns home for the first of two remaining home matches, hosting West Alabama in a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center. Both matches will begin at 2 pm and admission is free.
Men's Tennis
- Alabama State (9-6) has four non-conference wins on its resume this season including Southern Miss, Samford, and UAB.
- Matis Amier (Epernay, France) leads the Hornets with a 9-3 record including 4-0 in conference play. He has a perfect 5-0 record at number, while also going 3-3 at number five. Meanwhile, David Jeanne Grandinot (Lisieux, France) has a 7-2 record including 4-0 in conference play and a pair of 3-1 records (number four and five).
- Kristofer Johnson (Bromley, UK) is 6-2 on the season including 2-0 in conference play and is 3-1 at number six singles.
- In doubles play, Alabama State is 18-23 overall.
Women's Tennis
- Alabama State (10-8) looks to get back on track after a Sunday loss to Southern Miss at home.
- Sahra Bouchaala (Aix-En-Provence, France) leads the team in singles play with a 7-3 record including 4-1 in conference play, recording a 7-2 record at number one singles. Meanwhile, Timothee Legaud (Severac, France) is 7-5 in singles play including 4-1 in conference play.
- Urska Velec (Maribor, Slovenia) is 6-4 on the season including 5-0 in conference play, while going 4-1 at number two singles.
- Alabama State is 26-16 in doubles play.
