MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State and Prairie View A&M played to a 1-1 draw in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play on Sunday afternoon in the final home match of the season at the ASU Soccer Complex.
 
Alabama State scored early in the second half before Prairie View A&M scored the equalizer in the 75th minute. The Lady Hornets outshot Prairie View A&M on the day 23-11, including registering 15 shots in the second half.
 
Lauryn Starwood recorded seven saves in the draw.
 
How It Happened

• 64:12 – Iliana Casiano scored her fifth goal of the season on an assist from McKinley Hacker, 1-0 Alabama State.
• 74:31 – Mya Sheridan scored her third goal of the season to tie the match, 1-1.

Alabama State returns to action on Friday in Huntsville (Ala.) against Alabama A&M, with the winner earning a spot in the SWAC Championships. The regular season finale is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Oct. 27.
