MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State dropped a hard-fought 3-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) contest to Jackson State Friday night at the ASU Soccer Complex.
The two teams battled through the first 12 minutes with each scoring a goal before Jackson State took a 2-1 lead in the 22nd minute, and held that lead into halftime. The Lady Hornets battled back and equalized the game in the 63rd minute before the game-winner from Jackson State just four minutes later.
Lauryn Starwood made five saves on the night for Alabama State.
