Isaiah Range led three players in double figures at Neville Arena on Friday night in an 82-62 loss to Auburn the final non-conference game before the Christmas break for both teams.

Both players finished with 16 points, with Madlock scoring all 16 of his in the second half.
Kendal Parker added 14 in the loss, while
Ubong Okon grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

Alabama State (4-7) shot 39.3 (22-of-56) percent from the floor and 22.2 (4-of-18) percent from beyond the arc. The Hornets also shot 87.5 (14-of-16) percent from the free throw line.

Jaylin Williams led Auburn (9-2) with a game-high 20 points, while Johni Broome added 16 and K.D. Johnson 14.

The Tigers shot 46.3 (25-of-54) percent from the floor and 25.0 (6-of-24) percent from beyond the arc. They also shot 81.3 (26-of-32) percent from the free throw line.

How It Happened
- Alabama State shot 33.3 (10-of-30) percent from the floor in the first half and was held to just 23.1 (3-of-13) percent from beyond the arc. They attempted just two free throws in the first half.
- Auburn shot 57.1 (16-of-28) percent from the floor in the first half and 41.7 (5-of-12) percent from beyond the arc. They also shot 75.0 (9-of-12) percent from the free throw line.
- The Tigers went on a 13-2 run in the first half to open the lead at halftime.
- The Hornets shot 46.2 (12-of-26) percent from the floor in the second half and 85.7 (12-of-14) percent from the free throw line.
- The game had four lead changes and was tied three times.
Alabama State Notes
- Micah Octave recorded his 11th steal on the season, recording it in the second half. That marks the 11th straight game with a steal this season.
- Madlock, who played just nine minutes in the first half due to foul trouble, scored in double figures for the 10th time in 11 games with 16 second half points.
- Range scored in double figures for the sixth time in seven games.
- Madlock and Range are closing in on 1,000 career points with Range at 961 career points and Madlock now at 921 career points.
