HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cristian Lopez doubled in two runs to give Alabama state a 2-0 lead in the second inning.
- Jamal George singled home a run to make the score 3-0.
- Grambling State trimmed to lead to 3-2 on a Jose Vargas two-run home run in the bottom of the second.
- Ian Matos tripled and scored on a Trenton Jamison single to give the Hornets a 4-2 lead in the third inning.
- Keylon Mack homered to right field to cut the Alabama State lead to 4-3 in the sixth.
- Grambling tied the game when Trey Burrell drew a bases-loaded walk that scored Julian Murphy in the eighth.
- Alabama State put its foot on the gas, scoring six runs in the 10th inning to break the tie and take a 10-4 lead.
- Cristian Lopez and Jamal George delivered two-RBI singles, and Jamal George put an exclamation point on the frame with a two-run home run.
- Jamison cut down a run at the plate, and Colon got two strikeouts to finish off the bottom of the 10th.
