MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University football team opened spring practice with a two-plus hour practice on Tuesday at the Houston Markham Complex practice facility.
 
The Hornets will pracxtice 15 times over the next five weeks leading to the annual Black and Gold Game on Saturday, April 15, 2022.
 
Head Coach Eddie Robinson Jr enters his second season at his alma mater after guiding the Hornets to a 6-5 record and a 4-4 mark in the SWAC. The six wins were the most win for Alabama State since 2015.
 
Alabama State had 10 selections to various All-SWAC teams that include returnees Irshaad Davis (S), Colton Adams (LB), Kisean Johnson (WR), Robert Alston (OL), and Andrew Ogletree (OL).
 
All practices, except scrimmages, are closed to the public.
