MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Jamal George's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth lifted Alabama State University a 6-5 walk off win over Bethune-Cookman University on Sunday at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex.
The Hornets trailed 5-1 in the eighth inning before scoring one in the eighth and four in the ninth to win the game and sweep series.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Randy Flores tripled with two outs and scored on a Kyler McIntosh infield single as the Hornets took a 1-0 lead in the third inning.
- The Wildcats plated two unearned runs in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead. A run scored on a Brian Perez sac-fly and Luis Tuero RBI single.
- Hall doubled and scored on a Robert Moya sac-fly to extend the Bethune-Cookman lead to 3-1.
- Irvin Escobar hit a two-run home run to left field to increase the BCU lead to 5-1 in the seventh.
- Jack Hay hit a home run to right field to lead off the eighth and cut the BCU lead to 5-2.
- BCU got two quick outs in the ninth before a Kyler McInosh triple kick started the rally.
- Matos singled in McIntosh to make the score 5-3.
- Hay and Corey King singled to load the bases and Cristian Lopez singled home Matos and and Hay to knot the game 5-5.
- George singled past the BCU short stop to score King with the game-winning run.
ON THE MOUND
- Sebastian Colon (3-30 tossed three innnings, allowing one run on two hits with a strikeout as the winning pitcher.
- Louis Kipthratt (2-4) gave up five runs on six hits with a walk and a strikeout to take the loss.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Alabama State pounded out 12 hits, recording double digit hits for the 23rd time this season.
- Hay collected three hits including a solo home run.
- Lopez had a pair of singles and drove in two runs that tied the game in the ninth.
- McIntosh had two hits including a triple in the ninth inning.
