MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State University linebacker Colton Adams was selected to the Bluebloods Preseason All-American Second-Team.
 
The Wetumpka, Ala., native was named BOXTOROW First-Team All-American, All-SWAC, and Hero Sports Sophomore All-American in 2022. Adams led the SWAC and FCS with 11.6 tackles per game while starting in all 11 games at middle linebacker. 
 
The Wetumpka, Ala., native registered a SWAC-best 128 tackles and ranked second with 52 solo tackles. Adams ranked seventh in the SWAC with 1.2 tackles for loss per game, 2.0 sacks, three pass breakups, and forced a fumble.
 
Adams and Ja'Won Howell will join Head Coach Eddie Robinson, Jr., at the annual SWAC Football Media Days on July 25 at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Birmingham, Ala. 
 
The Hornets report for all camp on August 1 at the Houston Markham Complex.
