MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State and Faulkner battled to a 1-1 draw at Billy D. Hilyer Stadium on a hot Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.
The two teams battled the elements throughout the day on the turf as temperatures reached the high-90s, prompting heat breaks throughout the match. Alabama State (0-1-1) was able to get on the board first before Faulkner equalized later in the second half.
The Lady Hornets out shot Faulkner 9-5, and recorded five corner kicks in the draw.
