MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State picked up its first win of the season, shutting out Talladega 4-0 at the ASU Soccer Complex on Thursday night.
Alabama State (1-3-1) and Talladega were scoreless until early in the second half when the Lady Hornets scored the first match of the goal and never looked back. The Lady Hornets outshot Talladega 40-4 including 23 shots in the second half alone, while also taking six corners.
Lauryn Starwood recorded three saves in her first shutout as a Lady Hornet.
