MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State wraps up non-conference play this week with a home match against Jacksonville State on Thursday night at the ASU Soccer Complex.

Alabama State (1-5-1) will face the Gamecocks for the tenth time in school history and the fifth time in Montgomery. The two last met on Sept. 9 of last year with Jacksonville State winning 4-1.

Alabama State Notes
- Iliana Casiano was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Offensive Player of the Week last week after scoring a pair of goals in matches against Talladega and Troy.
- The award was the third for the Lady Hornets this season after Chase Lewis (defensive) and Lauryn Starwood (goalkeeper) were honored after the opening week of the season.
- Alabama State head coach Jodie Smith currently sits at 199 career victories entering the game on Thursday night.
- Lauryn Starwood is currently second in the nation in saves and fourth in the nation in saves per game.
- Kassandra Schoen scored her team-leading third goal of the season on Sunday against Georgia State, and she is one of five players who have scored a goal this season.
Jacksonville State Notes
- The Gamecocks have played three other Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) schools so far this season, winning all three against Alabama A&M (5-0), Alcorn State (4-0), and Mississippi Valley State (4-0).
- Jacksonville State has three players who have scored five or more goals this season including Laleh Lonteen with a team-high six goals. Camryn Davis and Naroa Domench have each added five this season, while seven other players have scored a goal this season.
- Although its record is .500, Jacksonville State has doubled its opponent's scoring at 26-13 through eight matches.
