MOBILE, Ala. | Alabama State looks to win back-to-back Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) games for the second time this season when it faces Alabama A&M at the Mitchell Center on the campus of South Alabama in the Bridge Builders Classic.

The game is part of a quadruple header in Mobile on Monday and is scheduled to tip at 6:30 p.m. following the women's game.

Alabama State (8-9, 3-1 SWAC) came from behind in its last game to beat Alcorn State by a two on Saturday after falling to Jackson State [1/1124]. The Hornets also lead the series with Alabama A&M 63-28 despite dropping the last contest.

TJ Madlock leads Alabama State in scoring through the first 17 games this season, averaging 15.4 points per game, and has scored in double figures in 16 of the 17 games. Meanwhile,

- Range hit his 1,000th career point against Jackson State [1/11/24] on a three-pointer with 9:45 to play in the game. He started his career with 281 points at Tarleton State, while Madlock hit his 1,000th career point in the second half against Alcorn State [1/13/24] after starting his career with 395 points at South Carolina State. The duo, along with CJ Hines [transfer from Faulkner] have combined for 3,732 points during their careers. The duo joins 25 others who have scored 1,000 career points [while not all at Alabama State].
- Since being inserted into the starting lineup, Ubong Okon has grabbed 73 rebounds in seven games including a span of three games against LSU, USC, and Auburn where he grabbed 30 total.
