Coulter Sixth, Hornets Seventh at SWAC Men’s Cross Country Championships

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Jon Coulter finished in sixth place while the Alabama State University Men's Cross Country was in seventh place at the 2024 Southwestern Athletic Conference championships at Apalachee Regional Park on Monday.

Coulter crossed the finish line with a 26:43.9 to pace to bring home Second-Team All-SWAC laurels.

Amos Beadle claimed 19th, running a 29:01.8, followed by Khabeeba Mills in 44th with a 30:53.7.

Rhamon Dancy placed 47th (30:58.4), and Demarco Thompson was 52nd (32:57.6) to round out the ASU individual finishers.

Texas Southern ran away with the men's title with 69 points, followed by Prairie View with 85 points.

Alabama A&M was third (95), followed by Bethune-Cookman (102), Jackson State (103), Southern (153), and Alabama State (167).

Arkansas-Pine Bluff (167), Alcorn State (173), and Mississippi Valley State (274) round out the 10-team field.
