MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State University bounced back from an opening-round loss to reach the championship round only to fall to Alabama A&M, 4-2 on Sunday at AMF Bowlero.
The Lady Hornets went 9-1 to go into bracket play as the top team and finished 10-3 on the weekend after bracket play.Â
Alabama State fell to Alabama A&M 4-2 in the first round before beating Southern University to set up a rematch with AAMU in the championship match.Â
Lyric O'Steen was the tournament's top individual, with 1,025 pins and a 205.0 average, while freshman
Jenna Knight finished second in the field, with 937 pinfalls and a 187.4 average.Â
Payton Hartgrove was seventh with 899 pins (179.8) followed by
Savanna Razor in ninth with 882 points (176.4) and
Olivia Miller in 13th with 847 pins (169.4).
Alabama State returns to the lanes at the Tulane Invitational on November 15-18 in New Orleans, La.
