CJ Hines was named the SWAC Player of the Week and
TJ Madlock earned SWAC Impact Player of the Week for their efforts this past weekend at the Akron Basketball Classic.
Hines was a dynamic scorer for the Hornets, averaging 19.33 points per game. The Atlanta, Georgia native shot 51.4 percent from the field and led the tournament in 3-point shooting 9-for-15 (60 percent) from beyond the arc.
Madlock was a force on both ends of the court. The Memphis, Tennessee product averaged 14.33 points and 6.33 rebounds per game. Madlock handed out 11 assists and helped facilitate the offense.
Hines and Madlock were both named to the Akron Basketball Classic All-Tournament Team.
