JACKSON, Miss. | he Alabama State volleyball team could not overcome a dynamic Lady Tigers offense Friday on the road falling to Jackson State in straight sets (12-25, 25-27, 21-25).
The loss dropped Alabama State's record to 8-18 overall and 5-8 in SWAC play.
Kaylen Hines finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Lady Hornets offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .333. got 11 digs from Breanna Swanson to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lady Hornets found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-12. Alabama State trailed by as many as 17 points as Jackson State never surrendered the lead in a set that was notted up zero times before the Lady Tigers took control.
SET 2 | A 27-25 set-two loss put Alabama State in a 2-0 hole in the match. The Lady Hornets came up short in a back-and-forth set, losing in a stanza that featured five lead changes and was tied 13 times. Neither team led by more than two points along the way.
SET 3 | Jackson State finished off the sweep with a third-set victory. The Lady Hornets came up short by the score of 25-21. Jackson State grabbed the advantage for good at 13-12 in a set that was knotted up six times before the Lady Tigers took over the lead.
