MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Alabama State women's basketball team got a 19-point performance from the bench, but fell 70-47 to the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome on Saturday.
Cordasia Harris recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Hornets (3-20, 3-9). Kristian Jackson added six points, four assists and four steals off the bench and Anaja Hall chipped in as well with four points and three blocks.
Harris pulled down three offensive rebounds to lead an offense that racked up second chance opportunities for Alabama State, grabbing 10 boards and turning them into six second chance points.

UAPB kept widening its lead in the fourth, constructing a 63-41 advantage before Alabama State went on a 6-0 run, finished off by Jackson's jumper, to shrink the deficit to 63-47 with 2:20 to go in the contest. UAPB responded and outscored the Hornets the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 70-47. Alabama State took advantage of its opportunities in the post, scoring eight of its 10 points in the paint.
