TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Alabama State hits the road for three consecutive Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) games beginning with a Florida swing on Saturday against Florida A&M.

Alabama State (12-14, 7-6 SWAC) finds itself in the thick of the conference standings with 10 teams within five games of the conference lead with five games remaining on the schedule. The Hornets hit the floor on Saturday against Florida A&M (4-20, 2-11) with a 4 pm (ET) tip scheduled. It will be the second meeting between the two teams after the Hornets won the first meeting 62-53 on February 5.

The Hornets enter the weekend after winning their last game against Mississippi Valley State ending a three-game losing streak in conference play. They find themselves in a three-way tie for sixth place, just one game out of third going into the final five games.
TJ Madlock leads the team in scoring at 15.3 points per game, one of the top-10 scorers in the league.
CJ Hines is averaging 10.3 per game, while
Isaiah Range is at 8.8 per game.
Ubong Okon leads the team in rebounding (6.6) and blocked shots, both top-10 in the league through 26 games.

The Hornets close out the road trip against Bethune-Cookman on Monday night, one of the three teams tied for third in the conference standings. The two met on Feb. 3 with the Wildcats coming out with a 79-68 win at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.

- The Hornets enter the weekend tied for sixth in the overall conference standings with Bethune-Cookman and Alabama A&M. They sit one game behind Texas Southern, Jackson State, and Alcorn State for third, three games behind Grambling State and Southern.

- Micah Octave opened the season with a steal in 18 consecutive games before his streak was snapped in Texas and has recorded one in 24 of the 26 games thus far this season.
