MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State fell to Bryant in extra innings 6-5 in the Black & Gold Tournament on Saturday night at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex.

Alabama State jumped out a to 3-1 lead before Bryant answered with a three-run fifth inning to grab a 4-3 lead. The Lady Hornets answered with two of their own in the bottom half of the inning before Bryant scored one in the sixth to tie it and won the game in the eighth.

Eight different players picked up a hit for Alabama State with
Alana Scott reaching base twice with a hit and walk.
Kohana Pousson (0-1) suffered the loss, working 2.0 innings of relief allowing just one run (unearned).

How It Happened
- (T1) Sam Rowher walked with the bases loaded for the first run of the game, Bryant 1-0.
- (B2) Charity Bibbs singled to score the first run of the game for Alabama State before Scott stole home on a double steal with Bibbs, Alabama State 2-1.
- (B3) Kendall Smiley reached on an error to score Jaeda Gardner, Alabama State 3-1.
- (T5) Olyvia Smith stole second allowing Hudson to score on an error before an RBI single from Alexis Larrow and a home run from Megan Marcel, Bryant 4-3.
- (B5) Alexia Denby singled to center to score Kindall DeRamus before a Kelsey Long single drove in another run, Alabama State 5-4.
- (T6) Aleix Hudson reached on an infield single to drive in a run, 5-5.
- (T8) McKenzie McAldon connected on a sacrifice fly for the final run, Bryant 6-5.
