'Bama State Baseball Sweeps Series with 13-6 win over MVSU

ITTA BENA, Miss. | Alabama State baseball scored seven unanswered runs over the final three innings to earn a 13-6 win over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday at Magnoila Field.  The win gave the Hornets the series sweep over the Delta Devils

In addition to his eight strikeouts, Martinez tossed 4.1 innings, giving up six runs, all of them earned, on five hits and walking three for Alabama State (13-12, 5-3). Junior Caio Araujo (1-1) also made an impact on the mound for the Hornets, throwing 2.2 scoreless innings while allowing one hit, with no walks and four strikeouts.
