BIRMINGHAM, Ala.| The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its 2024 SWAC Men's and Women's Tennis Tournament seeds featuring the league's top six teams on April 19-21.

The 2024 SWAC Men's and Women's Tennis Tournaments are scheduled to be played on April 19-21 at City Park Tennis Center located in New Orleans, La. The quarterfinals round will begin on Friday, April 19 at 1:00 pm CST.

Alabama State enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed (6-0, SWAC) earning a first-round bye and advancing to the semifinals round of the tournament. Alabama A&M claimed the No. 2 seed (5-1, SWAC) also earning a first-round bye and advancing to the semifinals round.

Jackson State claimed the No. 3 seed (4-2, SWAC) in the tournament followed by No. 4 seed Alcorn State (3-3, SWAC). Prairie View A&M (2-4, SWAC) and Southern (1-5, SWAC) claimed the final two tournament bids and will enter the tournament as the No. 5 and No. 6 seeds respectively.

On the women's side, Alabama State, Florida A&M and Jackson State finished regular season competition in a three-way tie for the regular season championship title. 

Florida A&M enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed (8-1, SWAC) and earned a first-round bye advancing to the semifinals round of the tournament. Alabama State claimed the No. 2 seed (8-1, SWAC) also earning a first-round bye and advancing to the semifinals round.

Jackson State claimed the No. 3 seed (8-1, SWAC) in the tournament followed by No. 4 seed Southern (6-3, SWAC). Prairie View A&M (5-4, SWAC) and Alabama A&M (4-5, SWAC) claimed the final two tournament bids and will enter the tournament as the No. 5 and No. 6 seeds respectively.
