DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. --The Alabama State Hornets dropped a 10-0 decision at Bethune-Cookman in the series finale on Saturday.
Junior Will Smith (2-2) got the ball to start for Alabama State (28-25, 18-12) and took the loss. The right-hander went five innings, giving up six runs, one earned, on five hits, allowing one walk and striking out five.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Alabama State did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Hornets went 0-for-1 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the first when freshman Juan Cruz made it into scoring position with two outs.
GAME NOTES
