MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State University and Troy University will renew the battle down 231 when the two school meet on September 12, 2026, at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy.

The meeting between the Hornets and the Trojans is the first since 2017 and the 17^th all-time between the two schools.

Troy and Alabama State first met for a three-game run from 1974 to 1976 and resumed their series in 1989, playing every year until 2000, except for 1990.
