JACKSON, Miss. – October 10, 2025 — Alabama State volleyball fell in straight sets (25-20, 25-19, 25-23) on the road against Jackson State Friday evening inside the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center.
The Lady Hornets (4-13, 3-2 SWAC) battled throughout the match but couldn't overcome a balanced Jackson State offense that hit .312 for the night.
Junior Jyriah Morgan led Alabama State with 11 kills while hitting .316, while Madisynne McQueen added nine. Kamrynn Clay had a team-high16 assists. Sierra Scanlan led the Hornets with seven digs while Trinity Mitchell and Brooke Adams had six each. Clay, Mitchell and Adams each contributed with two service aces.
Both teams finished with six total blocks, with Zanobia Willis leading ASU with two solo blocks.
Alabama State returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 12, continuing its SWAC road swing at Grambling State.
