MOBILE, Ala. --Four Alabama State players collected at least two hits, but the Hornets fell to the South Alabama Jaguars 9-2 Wednesday.
Junior Caleb Sanders (0-2) started and took the loss on the mound for Alabama State (4-5). Senior Will Larson was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going one shutout inning without allowing a hit.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 2-0, the Hornets first put runs on the board in the third inning. Junior Devin Chandler's run-scoring single highlighted a two-run inning for Alabama State. South Alabama then scored seven times over the remaining six innings to break the tie and grab the 9-2 win.
