Jacory Merrit, a former Hornet football running back was picked in round 7 with the 245^th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft (Source).  Merritt spent four years (one covid season) at Bama State before transferring to New Mexico and Arizona.   He rushed for 1,164 yards and 13 touchdowns over his 31 career games at Bama State.

Kisean Johnson a former Hornet football wide receiver Kisean Johnson signed an undrafted free agent (UDFA) contract with the Baltimore Ravens (Source).  Johnson spent four years (one covid season) at Bama State before transferring to Western Kentucky.  He caught 104 passes for 1487 yard and 11 touchdowns over his 33 career games at Bama State.
