<p data-end="478" data-start="163"><strong>MONTGOMERY, Ala. | </strong>Alabama State University baseball kicked off the doubleheader in dominant fashion with a commanding 10–1 victory over Alcorn State at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex on Friday.<br />
<br />
The Hornets set the tone early by scoring in each of the first three innings, building a 4–0 lead before a brief response by Alcorn in the fourth.</p>
<p data-end="889" data-start="480">The big blow came in the 7th inning when Alabama State erupted for 5 runs to put the game out of reach.
Kameron Douglas led the offense, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, including two sacrifice flies.
Juan Cruz doubled to drive in two runs, while
Isaiah Landry contributed with two runs scored, one hit, and an RBI.<br />
<br />
Alabama drew nine walks and stole 11 bases.</p>
<p data-end="1084" data-start="891">Jorhan Laboy (6–2) threw 7.0 innings of one-run ball, scattering six hits, and striking out five without issuing a walk.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | </strong>The Alabama State baseball team delivered a dominant performance in the nightcap of a doubleheader, cruising to a 12-1 victory over Alcorn State at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex.</p>
<p data-end="755" data-start="431">The Hornets (25-27, 17-9 SWAC) erupted for 13 hits, highlighted by a pair of home runs from first baseman
Juan Cruz, who drove in five runs to lead the offensive onslaught. Shortstop
Kyler McIntosh added a three-run homer of his own, pacing an Alabama State lineup that saw eight different players record hits.</p>
<p data-end="1094" data-start="757">After a scoreless first inning, Alabama State dented the scoreboard with a McIntosh three-run blast in the second inning opening the scoring. The Hornets tacked on two more runs in the fourth, three in the sixth—including Cruz's first homer—and sealed the game with a four-run seventh, punctuated by Cruz's second long ball of the day.</p>

Isaiah Landry turned in a standout performance as well, going 3-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, three runs scored, and a stolen base.</p>
