Alabama State and Mobile play to 2-2 tie

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Alabama State women's soccer erased a two-goal deficit in the second half to earn a 2-2 draw against the University of Mobile on Thursday morning at the ASU Soccer Complex.

The Lady Hornets (0-0-2) found themselves trailing 1-0 at the break after Mobile's Charlotte Malamaire scored in the 37th minute, finishing a feed from Jill Hellerforth. The Lady Rams (0-0-1) doubled their advantage just after halftime when Camree Tribe struck an unassisted goal in the 47th minute.

Alabama State responded with relentless second-half pressure, outshooting Mobile 8-4 after the break. The comeback began in the 72nd minute when Adriana Gallucci netted her first goal of the season off a pass from Emma Hemphill. Just eight minutes later, Serenity Safeeullah buried the equalizer in the 80th minute, converting on a setup from Jenna Scholz to level the match at 2-2.
