BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) announced Wednesday that Alabama State University sophomore setter Kamrynn Clay has been named the SWAC Setter of the Week.
The Saint Hedwig, Texas native, finished the Pelican Invitation with 57 total assists, including a match-high 34 in ASU's win over New Orleans. She has now reached double figures in assists in 11 of the team's 12 matches with the 34 against New Orleans being a season-high.
Clay also added three kills, three service aces and 21 digs during the three-match Invitational.
The Hornets jump into SWAC action this week as they host Grambling State on Friday at 6 p.m., and Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Sunday at noon.
