ASU Bowling Concludes Day 2 At the Music City Classic

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Alabama State University women's bowling team wrapped up traditional play on Day 2 of the 2026 Music City Classic on Saturday, hosted by Vanderbilt in Nashville. The Hornets finished the qualifying rounds in 24th place with a total pinfall of 8,917 across Baker and traditional matches.

Alabama State posted a 2–8 overall record in qualifying and averaged 178.3 pins per game in the 34-team field.

Team Results – Day 2 (Traditional Matches)

Alabama State recorded the following team scores in Saturday's traditional format matches:

  • Game 2 – 873

  • Game 3 – 771

  • Game 4 – 867

  • Game 5 – 871

The Hornets totaled 4,255 pins in traditional play, adding to their 4,662 Baker pinfall from Friday's matches.

Alabama State Individual Leaders

Alabama State was led individually by Jenna Knight, who paced the Hornets with a 930 total pinfall over five games, averaging 186.0 and finishing 77th overall in the individual standings.

Other Hornet performers included:

Jacksonville State led the overall standings after qualifying with a 10–0 record and 10,702 total pins, followed by Sam Houston State and host Vanderbilt.
