NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Behind a medalist performance from Quade Woods, the Alabama State University men's golf team finished fifth at the Tennessee State Big Blue Intercollegiate, which concluded Tuesday at Hermitage Golf Club on the Presidents Reserve Course.
Woods tied for low medalist honors, carding a three-round total of 208 (-5) to share the top spot in the 79-player field. He opened with an even-par 71 before firing a tournament-best 68 (-3) in the second round and closed with a 69 (-2).
As a team, Alabama State posted a 54-hole total of 869 (+17), finishing fifth overall. The Hornets showed consistency throughout the event with rounds of 292, 293, and a tournament low of 284 in the final round.
