BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State University's Vic Maric and Senna Van Den Huevel were named the SWAC Men's and Women's Tennis Players of the Week on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Maric captured a three-set win at No. 5 singles, winning 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 in a 5-2 loss to Troy University last week.

Van Den Heuvel was key in Alabama State's 4-1 over Florida A&M. Van Den Heuvel teamed with Kesmat El Tawil to clinch the doubles point with a 6-2 win. while her win at No. 5 singles was the match-ending point for the Hornets
