CORSICANA, Texas – Former Navarro College (Texas) soccer standout and current Alabama State University women's assistant soccer coach Wasila Diwura-Soale was named to Navarro's Bulldog Hall of Fame, the athletic department announced Wednesday afternoon.

Diwura-Soale spent two seasons donning the Red and White as a midfielder, appearing in 36 contests for then-head coach Alicia Wilson. Across her two seasons, she scored 30 goals and had 28 assists, anchoring Navarro in its run to the NJCAA Tournament Quarterfinals in 2018.

Before her time with the Bulldogs, Diwura-Soale was a member of Ghana's U17 World Cup Team, helping the side to a bronze medal in 2012. She also competed on Ghana's U20 World Cup Team in 2014 and 2016.

Following her time in East Texas, the Ghana native spent the 2019 campaign playing for the Lamar Cardinals, starting four matches before suffering a season-ending knee injury. She once again transferred to LSU, where she was named All-SEC Second Team following the 2022 season, her third season playing for the Tigers. Diwura-Soale finished her time at LSU with 56 appearances (53 starts), more than 4,000 minutes logged and four goals scored – one of which opened scoring in LSU's NCAA Tournament second round contest against Florida State.

Diwura-Soale begins her second season on the women's soccer staff under Wilson, the former Navarro manager, at Alabama State in 2026, hoping to utilize a revamped roster to advance in the SWAC Championship Tournament for the first time since 2021.
