MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Alabama State University's softball team lost a 6-1 conference game to Alcorn State Friday afternoon.
Tiffany Wells and
Mikail Knox each went 2-for-3 at the plate and
Ayesha Famble scored the Lady Hornets' only run on a wild pitch by Alcorn State's Elise Powell.
For Alcorn State, Hanaku Kilburn went 2-for-4 driving in one run and scoring two. Jennie Hatch went 3-for-4 from the plate.
Alcorn took the lead for good in the fifth inning when the Lady Braves pushed five runs across the plate.
The Lady Hornets and Lady Braves play a doubleheader Saturday, April 11. The first pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Fain Park.
