ASU Softball Sets Eyes on UAB Tournament

Birmingham, Ala.  – The Alabama State University softball team looks to continue its streak this weekend.  The lady Hornets are in Birmingham for the University of Alabama Birmingham Tournament. 

After, losing their first five games in the All Alabama Classic, ASU (3-5) pulled off a clean sweep over the University of Maryland Eastern-Shore at home.  Now they are taking a trip back to Birmingham to participate in the UAB Tournament.

The tournament features Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Samford, and the host team UAB.

Saturday ASU will square up against Eastern Illinois at 10:30 am.  Later that day they will face Samford for a 5:30 pm first pitch.  Eastern Kentucky and UAB will round out Sunday's action.  Those games are slated for 9:00 am and 2:00 pm respectively.
