Alabama State Softball Heads to Murray State
Montgomery, Ala. – The Alabama State softball team travels to Kentucky to face Murray State in a non-conference matchup at Racer Stadium Wednesday. The double-header comes just before the Lady Hornets will play host to Alabama A&M this weekend.
ASU (8-28, 4-10) is in search of its first win since defeating Savannah State earlier this month. Murray State (14-23, 7-13) enters with 9-7 victory over Southeast Missouri on Sunday in their series finale.
Brehanna Rodrigues leads the Lady Hornets with a batting average of .400 and in hits with 38. She also has the most hits with 38 on the season. Megan Dixon and Ayesha Famble are the homerun are ASU's homerun leaders with six each. The duo also leads the team in RBI with 24 and 22 respectively.
First pitch for Wednesday's double-header from Murray State is set for 2 p.m.
